Chase denied...Reconed..now confused?!?!

So I applied for a Chase Amazon card last night and recieved the 30 day msg. I called the Robo lady this morning and she gave me the dreaded 7-10 day msg. I figured I already had a HP so I called recon and spoke to an UW who confirmed the deniel but said he would recon if I wanted to. That was a deep expierence as I was asked and answered questions for close to 25 minutes!!!!

He then comes back and says that he has completed his process and I need to call monday to Verification, gave me the number and wished me a good weekend. I am now confused because I assume that if it was going to stay denied he would have just told me as such.

So does this mean I will be approved after Verification???? anyone had this situation yet.

And BTW, the UW's are very thourough!!!! I was'nt expecting such questioning!!!

Just called the robo lady and she went from 7-10 days this morning to the 2 week msg after the recon call. I would think that's good news.

Also 25 mins of questions wow that's a long recon , would you mind sharing what the questions were and all that , for others to have some useful info for the future recons

As other poster stated appears they just need to do verification and most liekly you recon was successful.  Call monday to the verification number they gave you.

You should be okay.  My brother in law just got this card with a $1k limit with 3 open collections and a few cards near maxed.  They pulled EQ for him and his notice with the card said his score was 641.  No prior relationship with Chae and his approval was instant and he got the $50 amazon gift card.  He was just approved for this card 2 weeks ago.
