Edited to add no 5/24 issues. Last card was April 2019. Recent pulls for car loan in Feb 2021 & for mortgage lender shopping (Chase pre-approved May 2021)
Chase pre-approvals are based on SP, and there is a significant lag between SP and when pre-approval shows up in your account.
If subsequent SPs show change on CR, it can case pre-approval to poof, though sometimes the reason for disappearance isn't quite clear.
Depending on how many inquiries you ended up with in May, it might have given them an impression you were chasing additional credit (to a computer, and inquiry is just an inquiry, it does not matter what the reason is).
Since you're free of new accounts, I think you'd have successful recon if your application ends up being denied (not that I think that will happen).
As far as multiple Chase apps, three months at minimum if you want to make sure one or both cards don't end closed.
You could apply a lot sooner than three months and experience no AA or it can go terribly wrong, but the only way to find out is the hard way.
So, it's really up to you and your risk tolerance.
