So I did my weekly prequal checks and on chases site and the freedom and slate came up, usually it shows no offers..I went ahead and filled out the app then got a 10 day message :/ a couple weeks ago I was approved for the chase disney premier for 5000 so I don't know why I applied for the freedom, well yes I do, I'm greedy but should have known better!
When i apped for the disney I had no prequals, so when I seen the freedom and slate come up my fingers got the best of me.
I also checked American express site again and showed I was prequalified for the gold, the green and the everyday, I didn't bite though cuz I learned a couple weeks ago when I was prequalified for the gold the green and some other gold card and then denied that I had too many inquiries for them, I had 9 then, now 11 with the two recent chase apps on experian. My tu has I think 11 now also.
My scores 661 eq, 650 tu, and 665 ex, ex was 675 when I got the disney card and the am ex denial but the inquiries lowered it.
So I am just wondering if I have any chance of the freedom app being approved, oh yeah all my own my accounts are just 6 months old other than the new disney. I am also an authorized user on a few old accounts with zero balances, and my overall utility is 4%.
Seem like chase is limiting more and more to one application card a month the more I read.... Obviously your credit profile probably plays a role in it as well, but reading more and more denials for 2 cards within a month... wonder why if this is the case

You still have hope. You had a pre-qual which is good and usually solid with Chase. Maybe they just have to manually review it because of a thinner profile. Could always call recon, they might need to ask you a few questions. I'd highly recommend calling.

I knew better, my original plan was to wait a couple of months, but the prequal got the best of me, I was just so darn excited to finally see an offer from them..lol. Weird I had no offers before and instantly approved, then finally an offer and a 10 day message. Lol just my luck!

Thanks for the hope
I am definitely going to call in the morning
I just got off the phone with them and it was denied :/. She said to give it some time with my other account and reapply. Crap I wish I would not have apped!! I am staying away from the prequals for a while. I have better luck when I don't have any offers!
Apparently Chase Prequals aren't always a HomeRun as others have mentioned. Better luck next time.

They are if you do them and haven't already applied for another CHASE card a week before
... Granted their is still a small margin for a denial of course, but pretty dang rock solid still. Once again, with out knowing more about OP's profile being AAoA, Score, Utilization, file in general it is hard to tell what happened.

+1
Plus when the prescreen offer was made it was based on the CS at that time if the Op apped his score changed so if it was borderline it might have taken it out of contention.
