I just reopened a chase checking account. After downloading the app, and resetting user names passwords etc, I looked to see if I had a preapproval for a chase card. Just for data points i am 4 years post bk7 and chase was included. All cards have learn more under them with the exception of the freedom flex which says respond now. Is this a pre approval?
Does it have something like a green or black star next to it?
Don't forget, since you have BK and chase was included, it could be a while before joining back in Chase.

No, that's marketing.
Chase will hate you until at least when the bk falls of your reports. I burned them also 8 years ago when i had just a credit card with them. I now have a bank account and a mortgage with them and still no dice....

The black/green star ribbon needs to explicitly indicate 'you're pre-approved' or 'you're already approved' as the language for an actual pre-approved offer. Simply displaying a green/black star with 'learn more', 'exclusive offer', 'reminder', etc., is not necessarily so, those are just marketing solicitations.
