Chase sapphire preferred -through Experian

I just wanted some insight on this. I received a notification through the Experian app that I was pre-approved for the chase sapphire preferred. Just wanted to know if this is legit or something like a click baitIMG_0334.png

@Manicete

Experian receives monetary compensation for credit card applications made via their site (as does Credit Karma, Wallethub...pretty much all free Credit Score monitoring tools)

so while you may be successful following their recommendations there is at least an equal chance you will be denied. ☹️

If you are interested in Chase products, I would suggest you watch any offers with a green or black star banner displayed in the Credit Journey offers section if you are already a Chase customer.

If you are not currently a Chase customer, you can sign-up for a free Credit Journey account and obtain the same results as a customer sees.

Green and Black star banner pre-approvals are almost always successful, of course as always, YMMV.

My answer to that question, by way of an anecdote, in the form of an email I recieved from experian just the other day.

"Hey [name]: is your $5.00 credit card balance too high, particulalrly at this time of the year? Opening a new credit card with 0% interest on balance transfers can be a great way to consolidate your debt and reduce your monthly payments and help you save money. Click on the link below to see your credit card offers matched just for you!"

Re: Chase sapphire preferred -through Experian

Experian pre approvals are ACTUALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you want this card, GO FOR IT!!!!!!!

every time I get a pre approval from experian, i get approved. it's not like that credit karma garbage!!! go for it!

p.s. pre approved is different than pre selected or pre qualified.

#1 yes they get paid

#2 Chase uses experian already when perofrming most hard pulls

at least now that you know you're pre approved, maybe look around online for a better SUB. that'd be my move. Hard to believe I got that card 11 years ago when it was 15.24% and now it's 28.49. rediculous.

Re: Chase sapphire preferred -through Experian

Hello I got the same pre approval the other day from the Experian app. I went ahead and applied via the website and was approved instantly for the Sapphire card with a $7.5k limit. So I would assume those pre approvals are pretty solid.
