So I cold applied for the CSP since the 80k bonus is about to be over. Didnt want to risk it. Was going to wait one more month until another hard inquiry turned 1 year old. I had no preapprovals showing but I had recently had approvals for all cards begining in March when I took the Freedom Flex instead. I recived the under review message with no time period. Called the automated line, put in social but it asked for the application refernece number which I never recived. What are my chances for an approval. Im under 5/24 and no baddies. less than 1 percent uti. My sig is up to date. They pulled Experian and Transunion.
What number did you call? I believe with this number: 1 (888) 338-2586, you should be able to also just input your social security number without the need for a reference number in order for the system to find your application. I think you have a good chance of being approved besides for that given your profile. You could always call in and confirm in case they need for information.
I called 1 800 453 9719. Chase card services.
I called the number you provided and it said they recieved the application and I will be notified in 2 weeks. Then it said there was a second application back on April 24th and I wll recieve a letter in 7 to 10 days. I didnt apply for anything in April nor did i recieve a letter in the mail, nor did I have any hard inquires on my credit reports. My last app was March 2nd which I recieved an approval and card. The number I originally called was 8004539719.
Idk what happened to my reply. It isn't showing. I called the number you provided. It said I had two app in the last 30 days. They said one app today 14May with notification in 2 weeks and one on 24Apr with notification in 7 to 10 days. I didn't apply in April and no hard inquiries show up for that app. I did not receive a letter in the mail either. My last app was March 2 which I have been approved and have the card.
That's very odd, the 24 Apr may have been a Sp CLI you initiated? At least I have one like that showing up with approved. I'm assuming May 14th is your current application under review and 2 weeks is a good sign but that means manual review so you may want to wait or call Recon sometime this week to check if they need anything. Some people recommend waiting until the status changes and says 7-10 days and then calling in but you can do whatever you want. Just remember today is a Sunday so nothing will probably get looked at till tomorrow afternoon a while after the offices first open.
I'm hoping that extra app is what is holding it up and not my credit. Idk what it is. I understand it's Sunday and there is no one to do a manual review. Wanted to wait until tomorrow and apply in branch but I read an earlier post that someone received and email saying to apply by the 15th before the offer ends. I got nervous. Didn't know if they meant by tonight 1159 pm or I have all day on the 15th.
I was sort of in your same situation. Got instant denial but reconned and got pending review. Got approved today. Good luck!

I'm in the same boat with the too many inquiries. What reasoning did you provide for recon? Looking to recon myself.

Just told them I was a loyal customer and looking to travel more and pointed out my strong credit from what they pulled. Good thing they didn't pull EQ for me lol. Either way, sent it to manual review and they told me I'd hear something within 30 days. Got the approval email yesterday.
