I have the AmEx green charge card. No revolver.Have you been using it heavily? Also, see my previous post on tell us which one you want - Chase.
Yes i have used it heavily and ofcourse PIF each month. I have a good standing with them i thought. I applied for the EDC after having the AmEx green for about a year i think. So maybe i need to wait longer.. And as for which Chase i want, it doesn't really matter to me as much for now. Just to get in with them and in time i would apply for a higher tier card. If those 3 have about the same requirements on approval then i guess its a toss up on which one to apply for.
So if you are up for the challenge, do you want to give the AChase Amazon a shot?

Which is a better card? Slate or Amazon? I'm assuming the Amazon, since the Slate is best for BT, i have no need for a BT i only carry balances to report some kind of utilization.Ok.. Another cool factor that has been added to the slate is you now get a free EX FICO. But ifthe Amazon chase card is a better value for you, apply for it and report back.
That is actually a good consideration to make. I could always use another free score. I have the TU from Discover.

Slate or Amazon.. You decide based on your needs.

Okay, so i think i'll go with the Chase Slate then. But as i asked before: Is it wise to apply for it at this moment considering i just applied for the Venture, and Amex EDC approved for one denied for the other.. Wouldn't too many apps so soon look suspicious? Lol i don't want the cards i do have to close me or to give me a CLD
I wish Nixon were here to tell you to just app.
I am not Nixon, I worry about every ding to my credit report. It's effect lasts for a year and shows for two years. It's minor however you have accrued a few. If you are on an app spree you need to do it all as quick as possible to minimize risk of getting declined (as they start to show on reports if you take too long). This will all be gone in a year (as far as creditors are concerned) but I would not recommend apping unless you plan on doing absolutely nothing else for a year. If you are at peace that your scores will be weak for a while, as well as your AAOA (average age of open accounts) through the floor for a while, GO FOR IT! If not, wait a while.

If it is a card you have no use for I'd wait. But applying for different cards to strengthen ones credit portfolio is not bad and wouldn't be considered suspicious. If you were applying for 10 cards with each lenders then that will certainly be very suspicous.
I wouldn't worry about CLD or being closed out. Als long as you are using the cards for its intended purposes then you should be fine. You are overthinking CLD and accounts by lenders. But it is good you have that fear in you.. Keeps you inline.

Well i just applied for the Slate and I was approved. =D.. CL is only 700 lol. Kind of a joke, but as i said my goal was to get in with them so i am happy.
Seee... All this worry You have nothing to lose by calling and see if they can increase it. If you have some time now, call them and see if they can match your current limits on your cards.

Chase is lousy with CLI over time. With them, you have to apply for a new limit and then move the limit to a card you use often. That is the best strategy with Chase. So call and see if you can get the limit on the chase card a bit.
