Choice Privileges Select Mastercard is right fit??

I am going on a vacation next year in January to Cebu, Philippines for 3 weeks and wanna stay only in Radisson Blu hotel...Hotel room is kinda expensive especially when we are talking about 21 nights...On two other sites I was told that I could transfer my Amex MR points to Choice privileges to make award staying...but then I have received an offer of this card- Choice Privileges Select Mastercard...which is issued by Wells Fargo...If approved, it says that it could give me 11 nights free...

Does anyone know anything about this card or if you know how could I stay free or in low priced to this particular hotel? I have Amex MR points though...Should getting this card help me getting free 11 nights at that hotel? Tnx

Across the entire choice hotel collection, the low end hotel stays can be found at just under 10,000 points per night. So if you meet the 90,000 point SUB, you 'could' get 11 nights free. You should search hotels in your destinations area to make sure it will be worth it to you. Secondly, read the terms and conditions to see when and how those bonus points are credited to you.

Its definitely an intriguing card. Im fine with hotels from this group and with the 30k anniversary points you can effectively cancel out the AF.

I do not have any hotel card...I am kinda leaning towards this card when I think I saw 9 0r 20 nights kinda offer unless I am wrong on it..I am thinking to get this card only for my upcoming vacation in Cebu, Philippines in Janauary of next year wherein I want to stay only at Radisson Blu. I am getting $110-$130/a night during that time...So, do you think I could get 9 nights in this hotel thru this card?

When you are searching for a hotel, to the right under special rate, click "use choice priveleges points instead" and that will give you the nightly cost in points.

EDIT: if you go to page 2 in the thread firemedic posted for you, aimhigh made a great post. The 9 and 20 nights are very different things.

Re: Choice Privileges Select Mastercard is right fit??

I have been trying to see if Choice Hotel have Raddison Blu hotle (or any hotel per se) in Cebu, Philippines but their system is saying that they do not have any over there...which is very surprising because they do have Raddison Blu hotel....That's the only reason I was thinking to get this card...

Re: Choice Privileges Select Mastercard is right fit??

Today I called Choice Hotel...they transfered my call to some vacation package site...Thru a supervisor, I got a best deal after much negotiation- I would get 60,000 Choice Privilege points into my Choice account after getting 4 days and 3 nights package for $199 in 20 different locations in the US...and I would have next 12 months to decide when and where I wanna go for the vacation. These 60k points are worth 6-9 nights stay anywhere in the world for their hotels worldwide. So, just spending $199, getting 60k points and 4 days and nights stay anywhere in 20 US cities is kinda a steal in my opinion. I could use this 60k points on my trip in Asia wherein I wanna stay in Radisson Blu and hotel night costs there $150/night....

They told me that Choice Hotel site has just partnered with Radisson Blu in Asia but their system is not updated yet to book a reservation online. I am told to contact Radisson customer service for that, but they got closed now...So, I would call them tomorrow to get more info on this matter.

Re: Choice Privileges Select Mastercard is right fit??

I have it and have enjoyed it, especially since I only stay at Choice brand hotels for the most part (80%) of my travel.  This month I finally used my bonus offer to book an upscale hotel for a business trip, and they didn't even charge anything for breakfast.  So all in all I give it 8/10 stars.  Just wish the starting limit is higher but I started when the card was with Barclays and grandfathered over to Wells Fargo, so for us I believe we're starting all over again establishing balance/spending history to qualify for any increases.  I hope this info helps.

Re: Choice Privileges Select Mastercard is right fit??

This credit card- Choice Hotel Privilege which is offering a welcome bonus offer of either 60k or 90k points claiming to be from 9 to 11 free nights which can not be redeemed for these many nights outside the US, in my personal opinion. The Radisson Hotel wherein I wanna stay in Asia on my upcoming visit...charges at least 45k+ points for one night room...So, these 90k privilege points won't get me even two nights in there...Further, this 45k+ points for one night hotel is low compared to how it costs in points in many other Radisson hotels around the world...like average of 75k points....So, I do not think its worth to get this particular credit card for a hotel stay outside the US...Has anyone used their Choice privilege points to Radisson Hotel outside of US?
