Hi,
I am already a customer to Citi and having 2 Cc's with them. I am getting offers for Citi Simplycity and Aadvantage platinum select world elite. I know Aadvantage platinum select world elite mastercard is a nice card. So, my question is how much are my chances of getting Aadvantage Executive card INStead of Aadvantage platinum card?

Given the info you provided, getting the Executive card shouldn’t be a problem. Just make sure that the Executive card fits your needs as it carries a hefty AF. I have the card but you need to make use of the Admiral Club membership to justify the AF.

2nd this. I have the regular AAdvantage Platinum and it's served me well. Although Id love to have the Executive card specifically for the Admirals Club as Irish80 mentioned, you just need to be confident that you'll use it enough during your card ownership. I find myself mixed across a few airlines based on what location I'm traveling to so, less opportunities for the Executive card to be fully utilized. Also, I agree, based on the data you provided I don't see why you wouldn't meet the criteria of that card, provided Citi doesn't have any problem internally with any other accounts.

I just recently got the Executive card myself with around the same data points as you, but I had low AAoA.
So I think you have a pretty good chance of getting an approval.
Hey,
You will most likely be approved for the top tier card, just make sure that you're ok with an AF of $450 and also, of course, make sure that you fly AA enough to justify getting that card otherwise, go with something such as the Amex Platinum or the Chase Sapphire Reserve because you should be able to get any of these cards without any problems!
