Oh wow thats amazing CM, I don't understand Citi with a nice APR, but a low CL.... this remind me a lender that I did the same...Case closed !
Dang! So sorry that happened to you!
Oh my goodness...lol
I requested a limit increase on my DC less than two weeks ago. A no go as usual. I won't be apping for any more Citi cards. The limits are garbage for most of us. lol
Once some of my other cards arrive later this week. The Citi is going to the SD on a long vacation. I've put a $1.62 on the card since August. Just to show them how much the card means to me.
You're not missing out on anything by letting them ride into the sunset! ![]()
It would take 5 years to get that $1000 limit up to $2000 at the rate they move.
Amazing isn't it?
Just look at all the good results stories from others experiences.
It would be an understatement to express just how frustrating it makes me in not only seeing but actually experiencing for myself just how well that they manage lending policy.
Who says that Lenders are the only ones who have to manage RISK
CM, I'm sorry this happened. I totally understand your frustration. You are doing so well overall and it is their loss. ![]()

Hilarious. I bet you came off like a spoiled child to them. I hope the card reports.
I think the OP has a valid complaint, and this is the proper place to 'vent' and compare his/her experiences with those of others.
We're all entitled to our opinion, though. The following link should help you to express yours better in future posts:

I've had nothing but good experiences with Citi and I've received a CLI of $1500 from them in the last 3 months. They even waived the BT fee when we moved some home improvement costs onto my wife's Simplicity.
But it isn't a pre-approval. It means nothing. OP should be happy he even got approved, but instead he is upset about not getting what he wants, as though he is entitled to something. If there was a need for the card he could take a second HP and get a CLI at activation. But no one jumps out of the garden for a 12.99% APR pre-qual because they NEED it. That was an impulse move and a waste of a HP. I hope it reports too, so people will learn to think before they make such misinformed decisions. I wish people would take 30 seconds to read the entire thing. Instead they just jump to the APR and make decisions on that.
