...unless it's not odd and I am just NOT doing my homework on here (lazy today )
My first CITI Card (Citi-Costco/2019) was a HP thru EX
My attempt for CITI Double Cash a few years ago was a HP thru EX
My attempt for CITI Custom Cash last year was a HP thru EX.
Yesterday I got a "pre-selected" mailer in the mail for the CITI Custom Cash and I decided to give it a whirl
and I was approved. I didn't get any notices that I got a HP, no emails, nothing. Today, I just happened to check Credit Karma, and it shows a HP from EQ? 🤔
I mean if I could choose, I would have wanted EQ since I haven't had an INQ on there in a long time. Just found it strange that CITI didn't pull EX once again as always.
Quite odd - after 3 pulls on EX they decide to pull EQ on this one.
Has your place of residence changed since the Custom Cash? I think (i may be confused) that your state of residence matters. I am going to try and find a very useful chart on the forum that shows what report different creditors pull just out of curiosity. Glad it worked out in your favor.
It isn't unusual for them to mix things up. They've HP'd from Equifax for me before too.
My own experience is that it isn't unusual to wait more than 24 hours to get an alert of a TU or EQ hard pull. Experian pulls always trigger an immediate notification.

I have moved, but not during any of the applications/HPs. I have lived at the same residence for 8 years now.
