Hi all,
I got my Costco Visa back in February with a $5,500 limit, where it's stayed ever since. We have been using this thing decently and PIF'ing every month, in hopes of getting a larger limit out of it. This is the card I use for work/travel, due to the decent all-around reward structure for travel and restaurants. This month I got nervous becuase I'm taking two trips back to back, and have already put $4500 on the card, and still have another trip to take.
Of course work reimburses me in a timely manner, and I pay the card off long before the statement cuts, but I always get nervous about running up against my credit limits, so I've been hoping a SP CLI is coming my way. I've seen that the language can appear at any time, according to the MyFICO'ers in here, but 6th statement seems to be a good bet, right? Here's my usage accoding to my statements:
March 2016: $991.89
April 2016: $1634.70
May 2016: $2338.28
June 2016: $1092.04
July 2016: $2760.13
(likely) August 2016: $4,493.09 ( correct amount unless another charge clears before tonight)
So do you think a 6th statement SP CLI might be headed my way?
I think you should be in good shape for a SP CLI. The worst they can say is no. If you've had a lot of recent new cards or inquiries they might deny you for that (personal experience there lol).
One weird thing for me is that citi won't give me a CLI but they will approve me for new cards. Must be a different algorithm

EXACTLY!!!! They won't give me a SP CLI on my COSTCO Visa or my Citi Prestige but gave me $18K SL on a new Citi Platinum AA
I got my first SP language at 3 months and got a $1.5K CLI. The second CLI for another $1.5K was at 6 months.
If the SP language is there, go for it.

@DeeBee78 if you have the SP language showing now, go for it! I got my first SP CLIs on both of my Citi cards before they were even open for 3 months.

Somehow it appears your Costo Visa (and charges) traveled back in time? ![]()
At any rate, as @K-in-Boston mentioned earlier, if the SP language displays at any point after your statement cuts, then you can give the CLI request a whirl.
