Logged into Credit Karma and the citi custom cash showed up as "Karma guarantee" alongside Citi Double Cash. Up until now I've only gotten karma guarantee offers for Credit One cards. I am aware of how CK works with cards and its all a marketing trick. But from credit one to citi custom cash was an unexpected jump. I was thinking it had to do with my CR changing drastically this month. Heres how things are right now:
DiscoverIT Student - 06/21 - $2.25k Limit
Chase Amazon Prime Visa Signature - 12/21 - $2.2k limit
BofA Customized Cash Rewards - 03/22 - $2.5k limit
Chase Freedom Flex - 07/22 - $6k limit
Sofi World Elite - 07/22 - $2.5k limit
Inquiries: EX 4 TU 1 EQ 0
New Accounts: 5/24, 3/12, 0/6 (just reached 0/6)
New Inquiries (Experian) : 4/24, 3/12, 0/6 (again, just reached 0/6)
TransUnion Inquiries 1/24, 0/12
FICO 8: EX 751, TU 740 (1 month old, execting 750~ for January), EQ 758
Income : 30k
That being said, my initial plan was to wait 1 year from the CFF& Sofi app to go for custom cash but I wouldn't mind the early addition since it expedites my journey to USB Cash+ & 2nd Custom cash. Do I have a good chance here?

Hi this is JMO, I don't think you would be approved by Citi at this time they don't like to many inquires and also your income is on the low side. What I would is try to grow your credit limits on your other cards only if you can do cli's with soft pulls only. Good luck.
Not sure you'd be approved, as mentioned above, Citi can be inquiry sensitive, and even new account sensitive. But if you want to give it a try, you could end up with $50 for the price of a HP if denied!
I think you need to let that 3/12 age away more. Citi can be a tad grumpy with a bunch of new accounts.

I was approved for the Citi Custom Cash at 1/6 and 3/12 and with similar scores and income. I think you might have a chance of approval now but could have a higher SL if you garden for the full year.
Hey all, in the interest of not creating another thread: I was thinking about getting an Amex card, but after seeing that citi is much more velocity-sensitive than Citi, I've decided to go with Citi first. The question is, do I need to wait to get new accounts down to 2/12, or is 3/12 pretty safe?
Other stats at time of app:
FICOs: 805 Equifax; 790 TU; 785 Equifax
New Accounts 0/6; 5/24
"New Inquiries": Reports showing 2-3 new inquiries each
Oldest Account: 12.5 years
Average Age of Accounts: 6 years
Income: $62K

If you are 0/6 with those scores you should be fine.

Understand your thought process on leveraging this CCC thread but ideally it is better to create your own.

They just declined me for this card and they pulled an Exp report with a score of 798. AI changes everything
What was the reason for decline?
