These clowns have been on my (insert 4 letter word) list for a long time. They turned me down with lame excuses, and at that time my scores were all hovering at 800 or above. I really didn't need them anyway, so fast forward to Saturday - I got a pre-screened offer for these clowns and the APR was going to be 21%. Ummm, thanks but no thanks, and promptly was put in the circular file.

not uncommon, and I dont blame ya. If you ever do want one...just check online once a week for prescreened offers, and the mail ones should increase and the terms should improve. Did you ask why you were denied? Did you recon at all?
The pre-qual page said I qualify and the APR is 23.24% after the 18 month intro. That's so unrealistic compared to my current cards, available credit and the APRs. I really don't need or want this card, plus they have a history of very low SL.
Below is the original thread from over a year ago. I actually find it amazing that they'd even approach me again after the recons to supervisors. Like I said earlier, my credit score was hovering at or above 800 for all three bureaus. Earlier this year we refinanced our mortgage to 15 years and then a month later traded in my Tundra for a Tacoma, so the scores dropped accordingly. They should actually be up a bit when I check the 3 from Credit Check Total in about 4 days.

That's weird, I had a score of less than 700 with only 1 year of credit history and they approved me with about 18% apr, the starting limit was about 2.6k but after a year it's currently at 6.4k
