Citi DC cli

Hi all. I activated my citi DC wemc, 4.5k SL w/703 EX on 12/12/15 and immediately requested a cli. Got the denial a few hours later. It stated they need to see more history and to try back in 6 months. Completely understandable.

The verbiage used while making the request indicated a HP would be needed and would go to manual reciew, however 5 days later and I still haven't received an alert on MF or CK. So I'm wondering if they even pulled a 2nd report?

Should I call in and ask about it/recon it or use it heavily and try again in 6mo? I'm also considering adding the prestige or premier in 12mo so I don't wanna potentially use up all my exposure on the DC. I'm happy with the limit considering the DC has a reputation for low SL. But I'm making it my go to everyday card (unless the Marriott app comes through Smiley Wink )and since Saturday I've already run $1,500 through it. I'll hit the limit or close to by the due date, and I'm worried Citi is slow with processing payments and don't want to report a maxed out card.

Any thoughts? Thanks as always

No. Don't call again as citi does not play well with others once denied. Only thing will happen is another HP for another denial. Just wait 6 months and you will get SP Cli. This is common with The DC. I got denied with a 722 on Experian. So no big deal and my Sl was only 2k. other cards well over 10k and 20k. But citi wants history. So history they will get. let me think. Next month on the 6th of january will be 6 months. Waiting to see if they show some love. Good luck. But remember patience with certain lenders and citi is one of them.

Re: Citi DC cli

Got it thanks! I don't have much experience with Citi but after reading many threads I expected to see a 2nd HP. Maybe it's just being slow to report. I'll test the waters with multiple payments if necessary, wait it out and throw some spend on the CSP.

Btw good luck on your upcoming request!

Re: Citi DC cli

It will be sp. as now when I log it it says. Easy to find out if approved for Cli. It says. No report will be pulled. So I know it's not hp now. Mostly they do give you auto Cli at 6 months. So no need to ask. My Best Buy visa however was like pulling Teeth to get Cli.

Re: Citi DC cli

I decided to try for a CLI also being my card is a few weeks old and because I see others have gotten them.

The next day got a denial by email and it says I will receive something in the mail in 7 to 10 days.

Oh well was worth a try.

I don't see any hard pulls yet either, maybe just very slow to report.

250k+ CL and climbing.

Re: Citi DC cli

It's been exactly 7 days since my request, pulled a fresh TU and EQ report today and it's still not showing. Fingers crossed for you and no HP

Re: Citi DC cli

I've been checking the CLI request page since May and it kept saying it would be a HP. So I never pulled the trigger. Today I checked and it was for a SP (this month makes 6 months since I opened the account) - I pressed the luv button and was approved for $1500 increase! Good luck guys.
