I only have the one card, would that make for a problem down the road?

I heard about Amex Blue Cash but I'm nervous to how restricted their use is in terms of finding places that will take them.
Travel I've always ignored cause I don't think I spend -that- much or make enough to be able to afford large trips after it covers my flight but then again I could always try. The only real big one that stands out is Chase's Sapphire Preferred and that's probably out of my leagues too. I can easily spend 500 regularly with bills, needs, and fun and pay it off.
stay with the QS,PIF and get utlily down if it's high. Based on your spend the.5% isn't going to be much anyway.
Your scores need to be in the high 600 for Amex BC and Citi DC. You should really hold off on apps and get the cards you really want.
