First credit card denial.
They said it was denied due to insufficient income.
I am a college student (3.7 GPA and Dean's List) with 2 part time and 1 seasonal job.
How should I try to recon this denial?
---------------
3 inquires on all 3 bureaus.
AAOA is approx. 9 years
EXP Fico is approx 749
You really can't argue their reasoning.. Most lenders have a Min. Income requirement...
Nice GPA and congrats on the deans list, but CC companies don't care about that, they want money!![]()
This seems to be the number Citi Credit Card Executive Office 423-477-6858. You could probably BS about building a long term relationship and that you know your ins and outs of credit and would be fine with a lower initial limit. Amazingly they gave me a $500 limit with 40k income. I didn't recon or ask for a CLI though, but I hope you'll get better results!

Well income denial is just that, you may be able to recon but you might get a limit that warrants the card to never see daylight.
Your GPA wont be of much help ... just call the backdoor number, and just ask if they can reconsider.
