...was a no go for the DC card due to "Limited Credit History" - I know the Discover Double Cashback nullifies the Citi DC in a way, but it would have been a nice card to have grow with my other cards.
Anyone have any luck with a second recon attempt or shoud I just drop it?
Go for it!
If I may ask, what's your AAoA? Recent inquiries?

Trying the 2nd time doesn't hurt. But keep in mind waiting also improves your chances greatly in the future when you have a shown more history..
I did just what you did. I applied for the Citi Double Cash Back Card and was denied. I called the recon number and spoke to very nice girl. She looked over my CR and they pulled Equifax by the way, she said the reason for the denial was only my credit history. I only have 11 months on my oldest account on EQ. The CR itself is clean and only 6% utilization. She said that having less than a year of history was one of the criteria she could not override and approve.
Guess it's next year or so for me. Was going to call the EO Office but think waiting will weigh better in my favor later down the line.
Chase Freedom 1200 / Discover It 2250 / Capital One Secured $600 (1 auto CLI $300)/ Chase Slate 2500
TU = 737 Vantage / EQ = 697 / EX = 639 ( 1 baddie)
Cap One Fico = 735 Vantage
Disccver Fico = 710
Chase Slate EX = 634
Waiting for answers on AMEX BCE ( In Progress) and Cap One QS (Sent Docs for Verification)

With Citi, in my opinion, the best way to figure out if you should app for one of their cards is to use their preapproval/prequalifier tool. If that comes up with a single APR, then go for it, otherwise best to wait till the give you the single APR signal.

For best chances of getting a Citi denial overturned, reach out to their EO. The number is posted in the backdoor numbers and they e always been very friendly and helpful for me.
I'll try the EO office and report back.
How did that go ? I am in the same situation .
