Citi Secured Card

Me again. I need advice. Just applied for the Citi Secured card, and received the 7-10 day message. Is this a denial? Is it worth calling them?

I've had the Citi Secured Card since August of last year and received the same message only for them to take the deposit out a week later and then they mailed me the approval notice a week later and then mailed me the card separately another week later. It's an odd process definitely, nothing compared to the smoothness I had with Discover when it came to a secured card.

That is really good to hear.  The Discover approval was instant, so this one threw me for a loop.  If you dont think I need to call, I'll just be patient.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't waste my time with a phone call. I was getting impatient too and called a week following only for them to tell me that my application was still processing.

I am afraid to even apply lol even though it's a secured card. I had a charge off in 2014 with them. 😕 Although it was bought by a JDB and I settled with them, I am sure I would instantly be denied 🤦🙏

Donna- did Citibank delete the tradeline from your cbr? They did for me when they sold my account to a JDB

Just received a call from CITI this morning, asking to verify my monthly mortgage amount, annual salary and last 4 of my social. Once I gave her that info, she said that was all they needed to complete processing the application. I'm no longer afraid of the "we are still processing" message. Yay me!
