Citi app question

Was approved on 12/4 for aa card and then apped for the prestige on 12/13 but declined. I believe you can only have two Citi apps in 65 days so does that mean I have to wait for the first app/inquiry to be 65 days old or both of them to be over 65 days old? Thanks in advance for any input..

Re: Citi app question

Sorry about your decline op. Personally I was approved for 3 core cards and 1 cobranded within 15 days. You may want to post some data points for others to help with some opinions.

Re: Citi app question

They pull EX & EQ in Florida and where you getting your scores from? That maybe your reason is the inquires within 6 months I could be wrong hopefully more will chime in. Just some data about my experience I had no inquires when I applied for them.

Re: Citi app question

Yes the 5 inquiries were in the last six months.. They only pulled EX for me. I have a fraud alert on my credit report so the pre qualify tool doesn’t work for me.. I just do not want to get declined again because I really want the Prestige card. I have some traveling to do this year and I believe that would be a good fit for me.

Re: Citi app question

When you were approved on 12/4, was the fraud alert present on EX?

What did the letter state on the declined Prestige application as far as the reason(s)?

How many inquiries have you had since the 12/4 application (including Prestige)?

Re: Citi app question

Perhaps you should haveapped thePrestige first, as it has more stringent UW? Then gone for AA, which seems to be handed out like candy due to it being co-branded.

You may have to wait it out until a couple accounts age.
