Citi pre qualify

So I was interested in the Citi DC card and went to Citi's pre qualify page to see if anything came up. The Citi DC did come up and in the details it tells me my APR will be %15.49, not "your APR will be between %X - %X based on your creditworthiness".

Does Citi do this with everyone who checks their pre qualified offers or do I actually have a shot at getting the card?

Re: Citi pre qualify

Usually a set apr is good. I would say barring a blacklist or a large flurry of accounts you are good.

Not a 100% sure thing but you definitely have a shot.

Re: Citi pre qualify

I didn't get a pre-approval, but was still approved. I'd say with a set APR, you got a great shot.

Re: Citi pre qualify

I never see preapprovals so definetly not everyone gets them. A set apr is a very good sign and thats a good apr to start with. Good luckSmiley Happy

Re: Citi pre qualify

My approval for my Citi Costco stemmed from a pre-qualify. Turned out to be legit. Definitely not a bank of america type situation where everyone gets them. My understanding is that they are pretty solid with pre-quals.

Let us know.
