Citi prequal site

Every month I check different prequalify site . Today I checked Citi's site and it shows that I am prequalified for 5 cards and shows the interest rate. This is the first time that it has showed me prequalify for anything on thier site. The one card that I really want is the DoubleCash. How reliable is Citi's prequal site? Im wondering if I can be approved with my scores. My scores are Fico 08 EQ 699, TU 689 and EX 687.

Assuming your profile hasn't changed since their last SP, Citi is generally considered fairly reliable for prequal

Last month, for the first time, Citi showed 5 pre quals for me. As it happens, the timing was good because I was planning to app for the DC anyway. However, I didn't like the APR the pre qual showed, so I apped direct. Approved with an APR 5 points lower than the pre qual.

I did the same thing with chase. I was getting pre quals by mail for the freedom at their highest interest rate. I decided to ignore the pre quals and cold apped and got a SL of 12.5k at their lowest interest. 24 hours later cold apped for the CSP and got a 13.1k SL at lowest apr. So sometimes it is worth cold apping vs using the pre qual.....
