Citi prestige

Hi everyone, Im new to the forum. 

I recently applied for Amex SPG and Citi prestige. With credit score from EX 704. Only 8months credit history. Amex SPG instant approved (surprisingly, I was prepared to call them right after the application lol)

I currently have Chase freedom:$1000(09/2015) and CSP: $5000(01/2016) Amex Blue Cash Everyday: $2000(04/2016) and Amex SPG: $2000(05/2016) (Amex cards are not in my credit record yet, they are opened within a month)

Citi Prestige did not approve me instantly. I recieved an email, asking me to send in home phone bills,  I dont have home phone at all. So I called them and asked them if I can send in bank statement to verify address, they gave me a fax number, and I faxed in with an app on my phone(who has fax machine at home?), Now im just waiting. Whats the odds of getting approved in this situation? If denied, does Citibank recon work at all?

Never had an issue with Citibank until now.  I app'd for the Thank You Preferred and got a message that they had to verify me.  I did this about a week ago.  I also had some fraud on my Citi DC card recently so that could be the reason.  I would see what they say and call again if they need more info. Fingers crossed for you!

I hope when they need to verify the address, would mean that i would be approved with all other factors considered except the address.

I wasn't instantly approved for my AAdvantage, Hilton or premier cards and had to just verify it was me who appreciates for the card by answering some questions on the phone ... Got approved . Honesty I think they aren't going to bother asking you to verify if your reports say that you're a risk . No point of verifying than declining you solely based on your reports and history

I just got my Prestige in March. I was initally turned down due to 3 inqs the prior day from a mini spree for CLIs, I reconed via calling EO and got approved for $17.5k. Not sure how many recent inqs you have since you note you have some new Amex cards, but as long as you're under 3 inqs in 6 months, no other negative info on your credit, they should approve you after the address verification. No clue what they'd give you for CL, but $5k is minimum for Prestige. It's a great card, I love mine so far.
