Don't think the BB card within 8 days would impact the simplicity card although could be wrong.. Reason being Best buy is their retail division and Simplicity is their legacy (core) card business and they really don't talk to each other persay.. Meaning cards like best buy, sears etc being retail are alot easier to get then their legacy cards being Simplicity, DC, etc.. Not saying your profile doesn't support it as not sure of your profile, but diff underwriting standards and I believe the 8 day rule doesn't apply between retail and their legacy side.. Now if you apply for say DC and get approved and one day and try before 8 days for say simplicity you would be denied automatically. Others can chime in, but don't believe this is the reason. Can always call and find out the reason or wait for letter
Well, apparently it does count.
Just got a letter from Citi. says ' your application's score was too low for approval because:
- Your credit report shows that 1 or more bankcards and/or revolving accounts were opened too recently.
As the ONLY reason.
Anyways, whatever, I dont need this card anymore as I have remaining 0 APR on my cards longer than I originally thought.
I'm glad im seeing this, Helps ne stay in the weeds.
