Hey everyone,
I just got a new Citibank Double Cash card.
CL: $3000
APR (purchases): 12.99%
Can anyone tell me whats an effective argument or policy to follow to get a higher credit limit. I wanna have at least $5,000 for the signature card. Any advice?
P.s. I know that i can request for a CLI but it would add another Hard inquiry.
5000 isn't a hard limit. And it's Mastercard, so it would be a World. You can call them up and ask for a CLI but it will be another HP and the chances of it working are slim. Your best bet is waiting 6 months for a SP CLI.
Did you apply for a new account or was this a PC?
If it is a new account it will almost certainly be a World MC regardless of the credit limit.
Congrats on the APR thats the lowest avaiable for the DC.
It will be another HP if you want to ask for a CLI when you activate. Otherwise I believe you can wait 6 months and try a SP CLI.

That's my dilemma, they are pre approving me for that apr but i don't want to get a 3k limitand my cap one 1 venture has not reported yet.
Both from what I've seen, and from personal experience, having other Citi cards begets higher limits with the DC. If it's your first Citi card, you may not fare as well.

I got a HP CLI days after I got this card. Sorry, although the card has "World" on the front, it's more like a Platinum MC, which means no NPSL.

Why not PC it, since you don't use it?

I suppose thats a possibility, except I already have the DC ![]()
Would they allow me to have two DC cards? I could then PC the DC to something else once the 0% APR period is gone.
