City National Bank Crystal Visa Infinite

Anyone ever apply for the CNB Crystal Visa? Sounds like a killer premium card, but the process is so so manual. You’ve got to apply in a branch and provide either a W2 or pay stubs. I applied on Wednesday afternoon in NYC and was wondering when I should expect hearing if I was approved or declined. Anyone have any data points?

All my FICO 8 scores are in the 730s/740s and have pretty good income. I do have a ton of inquiries from recently buying a house and doing a bunch of credit card signup offers. Yes - I’m a points hoarder. But I should be solid.

But am I solid enough to bank with the likes of Old Blue Eyes? Yup. CNB provides the $240k ransom money when Frank Sinatra’s kid was taken.

Re: City National Bank Crystal Visa Infinite

Its actually a great card.

  • $400 annual fee ($50 less than Chase CSR, $150 less than Amex Platinum)
  • $1000 travel credits ($250 per each of 4 included cards - thats 3+ times the CSR, 5x the Amex Platinum) - Instant $600 positive value
  • Global Entry credit for each card
  • Visa Infinite Portal, Unlimited  Priority Pass (just like CSR)
  • And if you do carry a balance - interest rate is 9%

And up - Got approved...   Card was waiting at my door last night.

Strange process having to apply in person with pay stubs...  but the relationship and the benefis of the card are amazing.
