I received an American Express Pre-Approved offer in the mail and had a couple of questions.
1. My credit files are frozen, will they process the application without unfreezing my credit reports? Has anybody been approved with a freeze on their credit report?
2. What are the odds of approval with a pre-appoved offer? Will they tell you the credit limit if approved?
Thanks.

1. No.
2. Mailed prequalifications are based upon a bulk screening of targeted potential cardholders using a basic set of criteria; that is usually done with data pulled a couple of months before the mailers/emailers are sent out. If there haven't been any substantive changes like new inquiries/accounts or big change in card utilization over the last 2-3 months odds while not 100% should be good. If there have been such changes the reliabilty of such a prequalification diminishes and odds of approval shift.
