@ocheosa, thank you - that’s great info. I haven’t seen the marketing mailer discounts yet (card has been open a year) other than one snail mail promo for 20% off if you opened a new account. I left 5 items in the cart as of last night. I do plan to buy a new kitchen set this week but I’ll leave the other items in there. Maybe that’ll trigger the offers.
Better yet, maybe I’ll buy some bath towels and leave the table and chairs in there and wait for the discount offer. I don’t need the kitchen set til Thanksgiving so that would be much more beneficial.

As I'm thinking about it, the weekly promos are linked to club o membership. (Too early for me, brain not firing on all cylinders just yet, sorry.) You will get promos without a membership but not as often. What you can do when ready is call Overstock Card customer service 855-810-2546. Let them know you plan on making a large purchase with your card and ask if they have any promo codes you can use. They in turn will transfer the call to an overstock specialist who can add a promo code to your account. I did this recently, was in a bind and needed to make a quick purchase and didn't have time to wait for an email promo. Ask the overstock specialist for a 20% off coupon code and if possible a trial offer for overstock club o membership. But check your account first because you may already have a trial offer for membership. Just remember to slide the little button so it doesn't automatically renew.
You can also google overstock promo codes. Will usually find a 10-15% off or $$ off code on many sites: groupon, couponcabin, retailmenot, etc.

Too Funny! In all fairness, this IS a Comenity thread, the card store is basically a tomayto tomahto issue. Right? Like how I handled that one for ya' ? Clean up on aisle 4!
