Re: Comenity CLI question

I have 3 Comenity cards.

Overstock (SCT) that started at 8K and is now at $13.9K with almost monthly CLI given. I used it for a $2.5k purchase that’s on a 0% offer...no other use.

Sportsman’s guide (SCT) with one auto CLI given at around 6 months from $3.5K to $4K. All luv button requests denied. I’ve never swiped this one...only used a small 0% & 0 fee bal transfer offer..paid off now.

Total Rewards- sitting at SL of $1,500. No CLI grantee ever...letters always quote BK as a reason. This is the one I really want an increase on. We go to Vegas twice a year and a $1,500 limit is so restrictive! I put over $8k in spend on this card last year! It’s now SD with the exception of a $10/mo recurring charge. I hope they give before our trip in early May!

They very clearly have different guidelines per card!

Re: Comenity CLI question

Does the balance have to be zero for this $1 trick to work?

Re: Comenity CLI question

My comenity cards were also previously receiving CLI's every 60 days like clockwork.  This month all the requests have been denied. I haven't received my denial letters yet. Maybe something internal at Comenity is happening this month. I plan to give them a rest and try again in 60 days. I really need to order something as it has been over six months since I last used some of the cards.

Re: Comenity CLI question

I have one Comenity card, Overstock, obtained last May, and I've received CLI's every 3 months pretty much on the dot. The first one, in September, was only $300, but I've gotten $1500 boosts in December and just a couple of weeks ago, bringing me from $4000 to $7300. We'll have to see whether I go for any more CLI's on this card, which I've not used more than a couple of times in the last few months and paid off the balance on last month. I do have a couple of items in my cart/wish list so I might place an order in the next month or two. Overstock could actually get me to use their card more often if they'd start selling books and movies again...
