Go figure...

I have a :

CAP 1 card 29k limit

Penfed 15k limit

Stupid me thinking Paypal would give me that unreported tradeline to buy a new laptop on eBay...

DENIED

Reasons :

Recent BK

Too many accounts recently opned

Too many revolving accounts

Too many inquiries (14)

They gave me a 636 credit score

Well you know what I say to Comenity...

Way too many TOO MANY's - So Adios for good I don't need anything you have to offer me.

Hope this helps people !

Sorry this happened OP---but speaking from experience I think Comenity likes to see a score of at least 670 or 680 before they'll consider you for credit--even with the shopping cart trick cards.

While this may hold true for some...it certainly isn't the case or many.  Lots of folks get approved for Comenity backed cards cards simply because it's easy and their underwriting is lax'd in comparison to lots of other lenders.  I picked up my PayPal Credit line when I was in the very low 600's with and the ink on my BK13 discharge papers hadn't even dried yet.

I have to agree with Loquat.. I picked up numerous Comenity accounts in when I first started rebuilding in the low 600's. I believe I was approved for PayPal Credit around 612.

Obviously everyone's profile is different, but I just got PayPal credit a month ago with a 653 Equifax. Granted it was a sad $250 approval, but I charged over right away and it went through no problem.

My bad, I guess I was speaking mostly about Comenity's Visa and M/C's since that's all I've ever app-ed for. I keep forgetting that Pay-Pal credit is more in the store card category. Although I have head that the underwriting for it is a lot stricter than Comenity's standard store cards---don't know first hand it this it true or not.

paypal comenity credit definitely approves all over the place. I have been denied several times with a score in the 730's but denied for inquiries and too many tradelines. from what i have read/seen from other people, its hit or miss with this one. Lots of people with low scores do get it, depends on everything else in their profile but this one I believe comenity is harder on approving people for.
