I have obtianed the Express credit card through Commenity Bank. I have paid it on time and keep my utilization low on the card. Although, I have applied for other credit cards with the bank when I was trying to get more store cards and all I receive is denial letters. I have tried the shopping trick and no luck. They have not done any hard pulls on my credit which I am grateful. I just don't understand. My utilizaiton on all my other cards are low and I receive the 7-10 day message and then there is a denial letter in the mail. Has anyone else experience this with Commenity Bank or am I just the only one. I am done applying for credit at the moment but I wanted to know what others feel about this.

Utilization is factor but not overall when a lender is approving a card. Give us a snap shot of you credit profie for better answers. Also, your score may be a probem. What did the denial letter say?
Your score is around the score that will trigger some of the SCT that can be had with Commenity. A lot of people have had great success with express, VSC, JCrew,Blair, etc. Keep at it, it will happen. Just be careful and when you start getting it to work don't go crazy with it like so many have because it will cause more harm than good at least short term.

I've had the same issue with Comenity. Seems like it's the only bank I could not get in with. They always had some crazy excuse. After being denied a card from them last week, I was approved for a BoA Visa, so go figure. Try a Synchrony branded card, like JCP, or GAP, or American Eagle.

I am guessing you have an open collection account?
I've had trouble getting some of my friends Commenity accounts if they had open collections even with 630 FICO scores.
Overstock and Victorias Secret seem to be the easiest to get.
My denial letter states we are unable to approve you for credit because:
LImited Credit Experience
Unable to verify credit history.
I'm a little confused. I have applied for two capital one cards and approved without any questions asked, and any other credit card I have applied for before gardening has been approved. I'm fine though I just wanted someonelse thoughts on the situation.
I totally believe this letter is a bunch of bull, how do you know what my credit look like if you are unable to verify my credit report.
Good luck
