Considering a spree

So I want to go ahead and go for 3 cards at the same time.  I can meet the spend on all 3.  I just want to increase my overall CL and NFCU/Amex will do that quickly especially in conjunction with each other.  When I'm 4/24 I'll probably go for the CSP or CSR, but that will be 1 year and 3 months from now, which will be gardening time and time to build up lots of UR points on my CFU.

#1 Chase Freedom Unlimited ($150 for $500) (Pre-qualified)

#2 Navy Federal Credit Union CashRewards ($200 for $3,000)

#3 American Express Blue Cash Preferred ($250 for $1,000) (Pre-qualified for EDP but not BCP, will be cold apping)

My only worry is AA from Chase after apping for 3 cards at the same time and them closing my account.  Is this a risk?

Re: Considering a spree

You're always taking a risk, but I wouldn't expect to see AA regarding this plan.

I apped and was approved for 5 cards in a month; no one responded negatively. Maybe if I didn't PIF or exhibited some other risky behaviours this would be a problem.

Re: Considering a spree

A couple months ago, perhaps, I read that Chase was getting very sensitive about too many apps at the same time so that's where my worry is coming from.  I plan on PIF on them all so I won't worry so much.

Re: Considering a spree

Chase was the last of my 5 and has the heaviest spend. No AA so far, and they let me transfer a good portion of my existing Chase limit over. I sincerely might hit the approval limit before the end of this month. I'll PIF, so I'm not worried. I don't think you should be either.

Re: Considering a spree

Last year Chase was one of four for me, done back to back on the same day within the same hour (I think). I've had no issues with them either on my new card or my existing Chase card.
