On Jun 20 Costco Members that already had the Costco Amex card will automatically get their new Costco Citi Visa
mailed to them.
for the rest of us, we have to apply IF we want the Costco Citi Visa (you also can use any VISA PLUS YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD).
my question is this:
Do you think it matters if you apply for this new Costco Citi Visa in the club or online or by phone?
Do you think you have a better chance at one of these methods than the other?
I have a few Citi backed cards all in good standing, either paid off or low balances.
my Fico score is 638 and Experian is 646 right now. No other apps on the horizon.
i really want this card.
Any advice? Suggstions? Thoughts!? Thanks everyone!

How many Citi cards do you have? Better chance? No. It doesn't matter where you do the application because Citi decides at the end whether you qualify or not. So if I were in your shoes, I'd do it online and recon should it be declined.
If you do it in the club, the person putting in the application can't recon if it comes back denied you know.
Thanks! I do have Citi cards (Retail cards backed by Citi) and a good relationship with them,
never late, medium ($2000) to high ($8000) credit limits.
I also have a checking account with Citi.
Pay down most balances in full ea month.
That is a better idea to apply online. Thanks for the input.
I am going to apply in the store next week when I do my bi-monthly shopping. I am hoping that CITI will relax their standards a little (at least at first) with this card. I still have a BK showing. I do have a secured VISA with them and a SEARS card (2k). Its a long shot but worth a try.
I would love to apply, as I am in Costco all the time.......I just won't apply, as I have a bunch of inquiries, and I know they don't like that! I think I have 16 inquiries.

I am saying this to save you from wasing a hard pull...I personally think your scores are too low and you will want to be at least in the very high 600's or around 700 before you go for the card. I know you want the card but it just doesn't seem likely right now.
you can apply online now citi.com'costcoanywhere temporary card can be obtain at the membership desk

Don't let inquires stop you, I had around 18 and was approved. As long as your profile supports it then they tend to overlook inquires. GL!
