It's been 8 years, 4 months since my last CC application so if anyone needs some moral support.

I have not seen a thread yet on here to help hot fingered appers (like me), so I decided to start one. The goal is to share our apping stories and help excessive appers rehab. Thanks to Yes-its-me, Theman and others who helped me realize the errors of my ways.
So with that said, How many inquires and apps have you done in the last 6 months? How many for the last year? How many new accounts? Had any accounts closed due to risky behavior? Maybe by gathering some other metrics and by other people sharing their experiences, this could help other people like myself.
@Anonymous,
Very good thread and good topic... I will be following..

Thanks Marine.
We definitely need all the support we can get. That is the gold ring there, makes getting to the first year not to such an impossible feat.

Oh absolutely I have thought about and researched different cards over the years but I have yet to see anything I can't live without.
I've never completely ruled out getting another CC but I'm happy where I'm at in life. I have six open CC's and pretty decent CL's so I'm ok.

Well done Sir! I know I find myself reexamining my cards, sometimes we have legacy products not realizing they either offer more benefits than current cards or less depending on the issuer of course the only difference is when we don't have a choice. Do you look your existing cards and revaluate?

Sure I think about it but it could come down to age, experience, and expectations.
I am enjoying my retirement and have better things to do than check out every CC offer for every possible bonus or reward. I have no problem with those who do so and I say more power to them.
I'm just not interested in that.
However if I was younger I'm sure I'd be more aggressive in this area.
I should stop by now. But I keep thinking that I NEED this card! I got 4 cards so far in the past 2 months. I feel like I need more cards but then I get upset when I'm approved for something and it's only 300.00! Oh... the struggle is real. What to do with my time? Go shopping?
I activated my BJ's MasterCard tonight that arrived in the mail today. While updating my CC records, I noticed I still have the Amazon Chase and PayPal Extras MC still coming. My wife gets the mail everyday since she telecommutes. So far she hasn't said anything but I also was thinking, do I really need these two other cards that are on the way? Ultimate answer is NO. So, I just have to keep asking myself that question whenever I get the urge to app again.
