My wife and I suffer from Infertility, she has to go through IVF, GOOD NEWS Insurance covers 80% BAD NEWS after a very HIGH deductible has been met, in order for her to get the meds to cover it, worse news it looks like we are going to have shell out about 4-5K out of pocket. I make more than I was then, I make about $42K a year now, I do have a about 5 CC all with in the past 2 years
CO- $201 CL- Secured card from when I had no credit
Discover - $4K CL its about 60% because of a wreck we were in we had to fix our car
Target, this one was accidential - $300 CL at $60 but is reporting at $120
Toys R Us Master Card - 2K CL at 50% from same wreck
Simply Mac - Financed a Macbook in September and paying it off $2K CL at 50%
Personal Finance Loan for a Mattress- I am an Engineer and it was hard on my back, and I needed a new bed because it was affecting my work, and I am the Sole Provider for my family
Auto Loan through Chrysler Capital at 22%APR so payments are $450, I had no credit, and I needed a car, this was about a year and half ago.
My Fico Estimates my DTI as 54% but some of my cards need to report, and it should go down to 51%
My FICO scores are EQ - 663 TU 651 EX 683 when I got my discover card my EQ was around 700 and I made $38K a month
I applied for an auto refinance and personal loan at my bank today, should hear back tomorrow, she seem optimistic on getting one approved, but iffy on both. So I am looking into 2nd options if that falls through.
My wife and I have had to pay for a lawyer, which is why my balances are still high, sadly. A lot of this was unexpecting news.
So we are off to loans and credit cards. Its really our last 2 options.
I checked under there prequal section and I didn't fall under but I did note my credit was average. What about a quicksilver card any chance there? Capital One is okayish, According to CK I have a Fair chance QS, Platinum, and Chase Freedom, But I don't know how accurate that is
With thier prequal I qualified for Quicksilver, but not Venture One, because I haven't had a CC more than 3 years. So theres that. But if my bank denies me for a personal loan, than Quicksilver it is
You could also try Avant. I got a $6000 personal loan from them and It was a very easy process. Took a day and a half and I had the money in my account in 24 hours.
Have you considered CareCredit? There are some pharmacies that accept it... if you go to this link you can search: http://www.carecredit.com/doctor-locator/
Best of luck. I know how tough this is - you're both in my thoughts
