Re: Credit One Mastercard Pre-Approval

As others have stated I'd take a pass on the Credit One MC. You already had a relationship with Credit One, it did it's job in helping to you reestablish your credit and now it's time to move on to bigger and better cards, not to mention cheaper interest and no fee cards. I had lower scores than yourself when I applied for Navy and I also had a secured Discover card at the time. Applying with Navy was like the credit heavens opened for me, they gave me a $5k CLOC and and $8500 Go Rewards Visa. Of course every situation is different and YMMV but I'd say there's no harm in trying for Navy. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Go for Navy and take a pass on Credit One, Best of luck in your apping endeavors.

Re: Credit One Mastercard Pre-Approval

I have taken the credit one MasterCard offer my SL was 800 read the terms. What I found out is that this card does have a grace no interest is charged on the purchases posted interest is only charged after the bill due date vs the Visa card and the interestvwas lower than the Visa card. What I was told by customer service was due to the great payment history they offered a product change that doesn’t doesn’t charge interest as soon as it post rather than increase the credit line on one that does since the visa was for rebuilding the annual fee was lower than the visa. Had the visa for a year. They only reason I haven’t closed it is due to it being one of my oldest card with age and after talking to them they waived my annual fee on the visa when I asked vs closing it. So the visa one interest charged once items posted the MasterCard there is a grace before interest is charged 24 days and lower interest rate so hope that sheds some light. I do as well since my journey have a discover chrome, Amex Starwood, capital one platinum and quicksilver with no annual fee and USAA platinum sonhope this sheds some light on the credit one MasterCard.

Re: Credit One Mastercard Pre-Approval

Everyone has given good advice here.  Pass on the Credit One and opt for one of the other options presented.  No need to be stuck with that preditory lender for a 2nd round.  Also stay away from First Premier.  Good luck!

Re: Credit One Mastercard Pre-Approval

True but to find out this cards interest rates lower than my capital one platinum I don’t recommend credit one or are. But different strokes for different folks everyone’s profile is different. Never be afraid to close a card you don’t need but this was to shed light to the ones asking who wanted to know about the master card version. Yes they do offer a grace from people who said they don’t this card unfortunately is by invitation only.
