I am considering to apply for a CU membership for a car loan in the future, but I am a little bit wary about the HPs at the moment. EQ or TU HP is probably okay for me, but EX is a no go. Is there any good CU (for auto loans) out there that does not do HP, or at least does not do EX HP? How to find out if CU will do HP for membership application? I live in (edit: Pittsburgh PA) by the way.

PA you say?
Tobyhanna aka Valor CU is your answer.
TU SP for membership. Stingy with their credit cards but they have good auto rates.
Pittsburgh, to be precise. But I am looking at Valor CU still. SP TU and good auto rates sounds just like what I need. Thank you.
Edit: doesn't seem like I am eligible.

DCU. They will pull EQ.

I heard that DCU only gives $15k for people with no previous auto loans. But if they pull EQ then it's worth a try.
