DCU Preapprovals

Even though my Fico 8's have been in excess of the 740s, my DCU Fico score has always hovered below 680. Finally the score hit 683, and I got a preapproval for a 6m 1K loan at 22%. A little payday(ish) if you ask me LOL... But its good to see I finally was able to see one of these DCU unicorns, because as I understand, not many folks have ever gotten this.. Have had 2 DCU auto loans and paid off (2x).. Currently have a CC at 12K since 2014.. First offer I ever seen. Will ignore, and see what comes next month when my score updates.. Also, my equifax is  free of baddies.. Waiting for the next round of Penfed preapprovals.. Never seen one either

Ha! I got it too. My first DCU preapproval. Must be an error of some sort. I called and asked about changing it to a credit card since I don’t need $1K loan. They said it would be a hard pull with no guarantee of approval and said thank’s anyway. A 22% 1K six month long loan from a credit union? Yikes !!!!

Peghede- I think DCU heard that you broke up with PenFed and they have come a-calling.

Aha! I was feeling a little insulted by my offer of $1k for 6 months @ 22%. Looks like I wasn't alone in DCU's payday loan offer, think I'll pass.

My DCU EQ Fico 5 has been at 692 since I joined & refi'd my car loan last October. My EQ service has me at 722.
