Debating CLI request on CH SW or New Chase sapphire preferred

I have had a Chase SW card for many years....over 10 at least.  $8000 CL since day one....never requested an increase.  This card is our daily driver.  Typical spend is $2000 a month and we pay it off or at least below 30% before the statement.  Dashboard is showing you are "already approved" for the Chase Sapphire preferred. Currently I only know my experian score is 806.  I haven't checked the others.  I'm wondering how likely a CLI approval on SW might be?  I would take the Sapphire but, don't really want or need to open a new card.  There doesn't seem to be any interest rate concessions so, I would rather just increase the SW card if possible.  Any thoughts or recommendations?

seeing a starred pre-approved offer on your chase dashboard is extremely likely to be approved (it may not be approved instantly after you apply, you may need to call in to verify yourself) suggests that chase is more than willing to extend you new credit.

if you want the CSP, get it.

if you just want the CLI, request it, it should be a SP now, just keep your reports unfrozen

I think your chances are probably good.
