Dell CLI Question

Has anyone received a 2nd cli on their Dell preffered account ? I see recent data points (including myself) on $1500 cli, seems to be the current trend with Dell.

Im looking to grow this account for the long term. Any feedback / tips appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Dell CLI Question

@Anonymous How long did it take for your FIRST CLI? I'm curious to know... 3 of my roommates have Dell's. All new accounts. All 3 opened simultaneously in March

1 is $1,500 -- has NEVER been used.

1 is $2,500 -- has NEVER been used.

1 is $3,000 -- HAS been used. About to pay it off; will be the 4th payment on the 9th of September.

MUST an account be USED to receive CLI...?

How much should the $3,000 raise to and when...?

Thank you!!!

Re: Dell CLI Question

I have had a few cli's over the years on mine. I have had my account for about 8 years I think.  I have not had one in awhile. It seems that the only time I have recieved a cli is after computer purchases. I don't use it alot but I do try to buy something every 6 months or so.

What was your starting limit? Mine was $5k in January, along with a $2k laptop purchase. $1,500 CLI in July, so 6 months in.
I bought a monitor for 6 months financing, so will keep an eye out for any other CLI Smiley Happy

Waiting for an update to a 32" 4K monitor model to put that on the account also.

$6,500 current limit is nice, but getting more SP CLI is always fun.

Re: Dell CLI Question

@NRB525 My starting limit was $1000 , opened November 2019, auto CLI from $1000 > 2500 May 2020.

I made an initial purchase of $950 from Microsoft.com (I bought a Galaxy Note 10) 0% interest for 12 months. I paid it down to $0 by April 2020, then ordered 2 XBOX controllers (again from Microsoft.com). You have a very impressive limit! I strive to be there one day.

I guess consistency is key!

So It appears Dell likes to be utilized @Charmante from these few data points seen here.

Im sure you can expect a $1500 CLI (on the account being utilized) arount the 5th or 6th statement / payment, but of course YMMV.

Keep us posted how it goes!

**Fun Fact: I only use this account on Microsoft.com, I will need to check out dell.com to see what they have sometime lol

Re: Dell CLI Question

@Anonymous May I ask, what are your accounts: Home Servicing Co, Inc. and My Jeweler's Club...? What are they and how do I get them? Lol Do they report to All 3 Bureau's?

Re: Dell CLI Question

@Charmante Great question ! I opened these as part of my rebuild (BK 7 discharged 01/2018, no other baddies)

My Jewelers Club is a credit account to an online jewelery store. $5k credit line,

but it does have $99 annual fee.

You can obtain this account from www.myjewelersclub.com

Im going to keep this one open for another year or 2, as I am not trying to get crazy into the card game yet

(I burned almost all major lenders in bk)

Except Navy Smiley Wink

Home Servicing Co is my favorite, a $15,000 line of credit, reports to Experian and Equifax.

Supposedly will report to Transunion one day (My jewelers club reports to all 3)

I use these for my utilization padding. Home Servicing Co stays on your reports for life.

Not much up-keep needed. Best of all: no annual fee!

I will send you a PM with more info on this account, and how you can get one started .

Here is a screenshot of how the account report (this is from my Experian, looks the same on Equifax):

Re: Dell CLI Question

I believe I've had my account since the spring of this year and just recently I was bumped from my started $1K up to $2500.  I did utilize the 6/12 no interest promo to purchase a XBOX and a tv for my place as well.  Guess if/when I get another bump I'll go for a Surface laptop at that point.

Re: Dell CLI Question

@coreyb80 @Anonymous @NRB525 @chuckwood Okay, so I need advice: I need to get some balance onto the 2 UNUSED Dell Accounts (I mentioned previously) so THEY can CLI also...

Wanting to use them on MICROSOFT...

I do NOT know the Account Numbers... We threw away cards and did not notate -- due to how when shopping at Dell.com, you only need your SSN...

Can we use our SSN on Microsoft, too...? Or can we get the account numbers from Dell.com OR from logging into where you make a payment...?

Thanks everyone! Smiley Happy

You should be able to get your account info via Dell Financial Services website.
