Dell Preferred Account

Knowing that I do not need anymore credit card accounts....I couldn't resist and applied for the Dell Preferred account online with a $450 item in my cart. Got the dreaded "We cannot approve your account at this time...blah blah blaH" message. What's weird is I got a pre approval mailer from FingerHut which I believe uses the same bank to issue the credit, webbank?

Needless to say, I just bought the item using another one of my cards. So now my total INQ's are @ EQ:6 TU:9 EX:13 Smiley Mad

scores: EQ: 618 TU: 623 EX: 636

Util: 6%

3 baddies in CO from 4.5+ years ago, 1 late payment 30 days 4 years ago.

Is it worth it to even try and recon? Or just take the INQ ding and move along..?

Re: Dell Preferred Account

Dell financing will probably be high unless there is some Intro APR.

Why not use one of our existing new cards that probably has an INTO APR
pay it off... and then in 6 mo you would be ready to requests a CLI?
