hi all. new to this site and building better credit score. i have had some pretty good luck with getting approved for cards. some thru shopping cart trick and that started the process. i applied and tried for approval of a Chase freedom. got the typical wait 30 days for review that everyone else has gotten. i called today and got on the recorded message its still processing. went and got mail today and there was the letter stating denial. reasons...
*judgements or deliquent accts,
*lack of recent bank or national revolving info,
*to few accounts currently paid as agreed,
*length of time accountrs have been established.
i currently have in my possesion of cards
*VS $250/0 balance
*overstock $250/163 balance
*Buckle $250/0 balance
capital1 $300/0 balance(dont see it showing on reports yet)
Kohls $300/125 balance
Peebles $250/ 0 balance
Trans 651, EQ 635...credit card utilization is currently at 19%. $243 total balances out of $1300 total credit available
i have 1 closed(2009) account and one account in collections for $11..ya im trying to figure out how to get that off. i mean seriously i can pay $11 lol. dont even know where its from. from 2012. should i bother trying to call for a reconsideration to chase. the info on the denial letter states a transunion credit score of only 593 and done may 15th. other 2 are above the 600 mark. what do you think. thanks for the help. ive been on here a few times and learned sooo much!!! ive tried inputting all i could think of into message
well i bit it and called. no reconsideration. but she did say that even with the reasons they gave me in letter, she didn't see anything really on my account. the major thing was the payment history. most of my accounts are fairly new and im only utilizing 2 of the cards and need more of a payment history showing before they may consider. all pmt have been on time and more than minimum but just too few for them to consider. so ill take that as good news. i asked about how long i should wait to reapply showing a longer pmt history and she "wasn't followed to tell me that" but i could certainly apply at any time...with more hard pulls to score along with it im sure lol
Are all the accounts less than two years old?
remember chase has the 5/24 rule on their branded cards so that may be the bigger reason for denial although the rep is not going to tell you straight up.
yes actually the oldest card is only 3 months old. just started my rebuild the begining of the year
