First I would like to thank everyone who contributes to this board, I have learned so much on here and my credit has been on a steady increase.
Working on rebuilding but current TU is 628, Have not been going crazy applying for cards was kinda hoping they would show up in the mail but did not so I applied for a couple this month. I only applied for the Barclays because credit karma said "very good" odds in comparison to "good odds" on the capital one offers that I have been approved for, learned my lesson with CK!
Sorry to hear about your decline but never rely on what CK says about your odds of approval. They are very inaccurate. Especially don't go by what they say your score is. CK is good for checking to see what's on your report and that's about it

Thanks for the reply, I know nothing is promised just thought it was funny how they were giving me better odds on the barclays card than on the cap one, but i got denied barclays and approved cap one so it was opposite.
Yeah, just remember to ignore their suggestions. You're better to look at individual companies pre approval sites though Barclays doesn't currently have one.
Credit Karma's suggestions cause much more wasted HP's then approvals. Never rely on them for your credit applications needs.

Anyway, good luck with recon.

You mean because they advertise cards that don't specifically pull TU? ![]()

This is what irks me about CK.
Ugh....I've wasted 2 HPs in recent months thanks to Credit Karmas "suggestions". I also had no idea just how far off their scores were compared to myFico and TU score provided by Barclays. They have me at 699 with 3 HPs. I wish ![]()
