Should I be concerned that I was not offered a secured credit card from Navy Federal?
I applied for one of their cash back cards and was denied. I haven't received the letter, yet, but when I asked for a counter offer they referred me back to my letter arriving in 7-10 business days.
I have two years of perfect payment history on two Capital One backed cards, Justice & Neiman Marcus, and a Kohl's store card. I want to cut off the Justice credit card but not until I get a credit card that can be used anywhere.
If you want the secured card I would just apply for it.

I lost my job and the two jobs I obtained afterwards barely paid for half of my financial obligations. I had to stop paying for the cards and a few loans. Moved out of my apartment four months early and more.
So in short, yes, I stopped paying.
So you haven't passed the statute of limitations on any of your debt? Not sure I would be applying for anyhing if that were the case.
you will most likeley get the offer with letter. I did when i applied and was denied for one of their cards.

I applied for a second card with NFCU and got instantly denied about 3 weeks back. Their products are in my siggy. I always pay before statement cuts. Never carry a balance with them.
I think I'm at my internal limit with them. My navy score was 395.
It pissed me off that they offered me a "secured card" in the decline letter. Even though I have a $27k gorewards and a 15k CLOC.
I don't get that one.
The same day Penfed Power Cash instantly approved with a baby limit of 11k.
