Your question makes sense but it is based on where you live. So if a call center is based in OH and you live in CA, they will pull whatever they pull for your state. You can't tell them what to pull when you call..
The only way is to freeze the report [ That is not encouraged here so I am just mentioning to answer your question]. Even that - freezing does not work sometimes as some lenders will ask you to unfreeze your report so that they can pull.
