I called today. After being on hold for 30 min I talked to the proper person and explained why I checked unmarried and that I can supply my wife's info if needed. 

They assured me that it wasn't a problem and will be pushed through, however, they said the file is still being reviewed. 

The absurd part is that I only applied for the high CL which in hindsight is ridiculous

Well, at least you were able to contact them and rectify it.  Hopefully, with the updated information it will all work out in the end.  Be prepared to wait for sometime though.  Keep us posted.
