Discover App questions

Hey friends , I got BOLD today and decided to try for one more card to end the year . I apped for Discover after seeing the many generous post about them lately . Well I get to the end and it says that they need me to call to verify a few things ? Anyone else gotten this before ? I hate to call just to be turned down . Guess I'll find out soon .

Seems like you're about to be approved and they just want to ID verify.  Give them a call and get that card!

I wish 😢 called in and they said they could not approve my app at this time but I could try with a co applicant , will try again next year . Dang it

Sorry to hear, aduke. Why not apply for their secured card? People have reported on here lately that their cards have graduated after 7-10 months. It would be a foot in the door with Discover. They can be a little weird sometimes and difficult to figure out.

Did they share the reasons that they would not be able to approve an individual unsecured card at this time?

No reasons , said she was sending my letter out with that info . I may try for the secured card idk yet , or just sit my butt in the garden until after Feb and see how I'm doing then😊

I'm positive the reasons will be too many new accts and inquires, I have opened 5 accts this year plus am AU on some accts that were newly opened . Most of my new accts will age past a year in Feb .

Stay in the garden for six months then you may want to give it a try again. Good luck!

Thanks guys , I'm gonna sit put in the garden for a while for sure besides CLI request on my accounts I don't need anymore HPs
