When i checked the status of the app it said to call prequal for some additional info, after doing so i was told to just reapply. So i did.
But once again recieved the 5-7 day message....its now been about ten days since the first app anyonw have any idea whats going on?
Also i haven't seen any hps on any of my reports.
Hi @Anonymous, and welcome to myFICO!
I've moved your post to a new thread to get your issue more exposure.
Again, welcome!

Welcome to the board. What are your scores? If it has been that long, it is likely a denial unfortunately.
Hey so if you don't mind me asking, what did the outcome end up being on your Discover app? I got the 5-7 day message on Friday night (04/13/2018) when I applied and then when checking status of application online, it says "Error Retreiving Application. Please Try Again Later." I finalled called a representative Monday and she told me that there were '2' applications submitted and so the computer automatically cancels one out, since you can only submit one, and that my application is still pending review. I asked her if she could tell me whether it was approved or denied yet and she advised me "no", that it was still pending review and that I would receive notice of results within 7-10 days by mail, which made me concerned. Now I have been told that doesn't automatically mean a denial and sometimes they just need to verify information, but at this point I cannot believe I'm still getting this error message under the "Check Your Application Status" page online. I'm also concerned that they may have automatically denied me since apparently there were '2' applications submitted and it threw off a fraud alert. I'm not sure how that happened, but I've heard of many individuals having issues with their online applications and I guess it's possible I hit the submit button twice by accident. Any feedback would be appreciated, thank you!
That TU is a little lowish for an unsecured Discover....
Still possible there might be an identity issue. but i wouldn't get your hopes up...

Wasn't sure if you were responding to me or original forum creator, but my FICO8 and FICO8 Bankcard Scores are roughly 690-720 between all three bureaus. You think this it too low for Discover? They haven't even HP'd me yet. I've heard of some people having to wait a little while when it goes to manual review depending on their work load.

I was responding to the original posters scores.. Also sometimes the issue is that discover hasnt refreshed your scores... i.e they sometimes use a slightly stale pull... And as you said.... sometimes it just takes awhile but in the ops case im leaning toward more his TU score but we still can hope for an approval....

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up calling them again to find out that BOTH applications that were supposedly submitted had cancelled out and so there was no application pending review. The rep transferred me over to a Team Associate who processed my application over the phone so she could give me an immediate result and I was instantly approved with a $6.5K SL! I am totally psyched... thanks so much!
OP - Just curious if you ever got approved or found out the answer on your Disco app? I just had a heck of an experience with them, but finally got someone to figure it out for me and was instantly approved.
Basically, they said there had been two applications submitted and both had cancelled out. She transferred me to a team associate who could process my application over the phone so I didn't have to apply online again and she then told me I only filled out prequals (which I know the difference between a prequal and an application because prequals don't ask for income info). I politely advised her that they may want to try updating their site then because I was POSITIVE I hit apply and filled out a real application.
So, she submitted the application for me and advised me the computer might come back needing me to answer a few more questions or I may have to submit some documentation for verification of identity, income, etc. The result came back and I only had to answer a few more questions (for identity protection purposes) and after submitting that, I was instantly approved. So, if you're waiting around, don't! Call them and find out what's going on. Apparently, many of us here have had issues with our Disco apps and thankfully the forum was very helpful and encouraging to me to pursue the status. So, you won't know unless you call and the worst they can tell you is you're denied and you'll get your denial letter in the mail. Best of luck to you!
Update us back on this so we know what happened and good luck!
