Yes I know the reasons about my EQ FICO score comes from EQ directly. As for any negatives, literally the ONLY negative on both EQ and EX (zero negs on TU, this one neg isn't reporting on it) is one 60 day late on an installment housing loan with a college I applied for and was supposed to attend but ended up not attending. They claim they sent me letters asking for the money, but I never got anything except for the "final notice." I disputed that but they stood firm on their decision so I immediately paid it off but it was too late. The damage had been done to my credit. That was almost 3 years ago, so I know it's still affecting me, but not as much (I think?).

I don't say my AAoA was my downfall. Lol. Disco cited that as the one and only reason for denial. (Insufficient credit history, technically, but I take that to mean short AAoA and/or my new accounts need to age a bit) my slightly high util (24%) might've also hurt me.

You are correct. The fact that the baddie was 3 years ago. It has less of an effect. But for some reason as long as it is on your report. it hurts a little. other ways to over come it is by putting so much more positive on your report. Which you are doing. Can't really tell with Discover. They are truly Bi polar. When i got approved a year ago. I was surprised to tell you the truth.

like i said. AAoA was about 8 months or so.  for sure oldest account was 8 months as i started rebuild in December 2013. yet they approved me with 663 for $2500 dollars to boot.

so you may have a point about the utilization as well. Because at the time my utilization was non existent. total debt was about $200 bucks. now a year later. im carrying like a 6k balance. Plus installment loan. But im working on bringing it down. only to take it back up at Xmas time. This credit thing sucks. Smiley Very Happy
