Tried to get my Discover IT card to match some of my other limits with other banks, but was not successful. Credit scores all above 790, no derogatory marks, and household income was $105k last year. This is one of my oldest cards at 12 years history, too.
Currently at $8.2k. I noticed my income had not been updated in the app for a few years, so I updated that before requesting the CLI. It was last set at $65k. Wondering if that has anything to do with denial? I have not received an explanation for the denial yet, unfortunately. Will definitely update the post when I receive the supporting information.

how has your usage of the card been recently?

I would say I average $500-$800 on this card. It is used for a few streaming services and the like with occasional bigger spending if the categories fall into line (and I actually remember
). This is possibly the reason for the denial, too, I was thinking.

Same thing here. Usage was too low and they refused CLI. Actually, only use Discover Card for BTs as I have too many other better cards for my spending pattern. Also, when Cap1 absorbs Discover the account will be closed.
I always got the message "low usage of existing credit line" so I ultimately closed my discover it.
discover isn't a good daily driver imo so there's not a lot of incentive to use it more.
Yeah, I've noticed by Discover card only really moves for 1-2 CLI after I go a couple of months of over 20% util (not carrying a balance, just spending it and letting it post).
I actually found two things from your reply interesting. Do you get any 0% balance transfer fee offers? I haven't been seeing any in over a year now even though my score has gone up about 40 pts to around 770-780. The second thing was, has there been any updates on the Capital One buyout of Discover? I thought that wasn't happening anymore.
